Argentina got crashed out of the Copa America 2019 earlier today at the Mineirão as the team lost to Brazil 2-0. Lionel Messi hardly contributed to the game and was obviously in the eye of the storm as the team crashed out of the tournament. Needless to say that Cristiano Ronaldo fans grabbed this opportunity with both hands and trolled the Argentine for his lack of contribution and also the fact Lionel Messi does not have any international trophies in his kitty. Team Brazil dominated the game right from the start as Gabriel Jesus scored the first goal in the 19th minute and in the second half it was Roberto Firmino who netted another one. Team Argentina could not do much after the match referee did not use VAR throughout the game. Sergio Aguero was attacked off the ball by Dani Alves but the referee did not adjudge it as penalty nor did he refer to VAR. With this, Brazil sealed a spot in the semifinals of the Copa America 2019. Naturally, Messi was at the receiving end and most of the tweets were about how CR7 clinched a couple of international trophies Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League recently – while the Barcelona legend is still trophy-less on the international stage.

Check out a few tweets below:

Another one which says Messi still does not have an international trophy.

That’s a hilarious video.

This netizen seems to be really upset.

Last one.

However, after the loss against Brazil, Messi said that he is in no mood to hang up his boots as yet. “F I can still help in any way, I will continue to do so. I feel really good in this group," said the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. The next semi-final will be played tomorrow at Arena do Grêmio between Chile and Peru.
