Cristiano Ronaldo attracted criticism from an Indian doctor for promoting 'Herbalife', a health supplement on social media. It goes without saying that the Portugal national football team star is one of the fittest players in the sport and also enjoys a massive following on social media and an example of this is the fact that he shattered YouTube subscriber records days after starting a new channel. Any product he promotes through social media is likely to gain a good response from ardent fans who admire the Al-Nassr star. The Indian doctor named Cyriac Abby Philips, popularly known as 'The Liver Doc' on social media, called out the 39-year-old for being deprived of 'ethics and morality' as he pointed out the harmful effects it causes on a person's health. Cristiano Ronaldo to Leave Al-Nassr! The Al-Nassr star, in a post on November 7, had promoted the product while also stating that it has a 'balanced mix of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals.' And the popular hepatologist reacted to the post, claiming that the product has harmed consumers and is associated with causing liver injury and liver failure. He even stated that there are better protein supplements in the world than the one Cristiano Ronaldo promoted. "Ronaldo may or may not know this, but his breakfast definitely DOES NOT involve Herbalife products and this is just a paid (I wonder how much!) promotion for the company...Because even the people you place high on a high pedestal are sometimes deprived of ethics and morality when it comes to healthcare and health literacy when money talks," a part of his post on 'X' read. Cristiano Ronaldo's Missed Penalty Hits Fan, Sends His Phone Flying Away During Al-Nassr vs Al-Taawoun Round of 16 Match in King Cup of Champions 2024-25; Video Goes Viral.
