Cristiano Ronaldo is quite an emotional man. On many occasions, he has shown his emotions on-field and interviews too. This time CR7 got emotional once again after watching his late father Jose Dinis Aveiro video. The football star’s father passed away in 2005 after a battle with liver failure due to alcoholism. This happened during an interview with Piers Morgan. In the footage, CR7’s late father is seen talking to him at his doorstep. Needless to say, Ronaldo got extremely emotional and started crying as said that his father could not watch him become a big star. Ronaldo, crying, said, "I never saw the video. I never saw that video. Unbelievable." Asked by Morgan what it was that made him so upset, Ronaldo replied. "To be the number one and he doesn't see anything. He doesn't see me receive awards." Morgan further asked him of his father watched him become a great man to which the football star responded, “Never. My family see, my mum, my brothers, even my old son, but my father, he didn't see nothing, and it was... he died young.”

Ronaldo’s father passed away when Manchester United was supposed to play the Champions League game against Villarreal in 2005. Manager Alex Ferguson allowed him to miss the match in order to visit his father who was hospitalized in London. The Portuguese star has been immensely grateful for same. Ronaldo has successfully emerged as one of the most successful footballers of this time. The five-time Ballon de’Or winner currently is playing for Juventus.
