The last time Belgium made it to the semi-finals was in 1986. Meanwhile, Belgium have been in superb form and have won all their matches in the build-up to the quarterfinals. After finishing unbeaten in the group stage, Belgium survived scare against Japan to win the contest 3-2 and made it to the last eight. Brazil, on the other hand, won two and drew one match in the group stage. And in the pre-quarters defeated Mexico 2-0 to progress to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, this will be the fifth meeting between the two sides. Brazil have won three out of those four matches while Belgium just one, that too way back in 1963 by a scoreline of 5-1.
