Real Madrid and also Kylian Mbappe were among the award winners at the Ballon d'Or 2024 ceremony but no member or representative of the club was present to attend and receive the honours. Argentina's Emiliano Martinez, who won the Yachine Trophy 2024 for being the best goalkeeper, also created history by becoming the first to win it back-to-back.
