Despite the lack of form and consistent injuries in recent seasons, Manchester City are keen on acquiring the services of Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez. Though the 31-year-old has struggled since then, the four-time Premier League champions are still interested in signing him. Lionel Messi FOLLOWS Manchester City On Instagram After La Liga 2019-20 Disappointment.

The 31-year-old was back among the goals during Inter Milan’s fixture against SPAL and also impressed in the match against Torino, where he provided two assists and created 10 chances – the most in a single game in the top-five European leagues this season.

These recent performances have put Alexis back on Manchester City’s radar and with the Premier League’s side’s Champions League ban lifted, they can surely lure the Chilean away from Manchester United in the summer.

Pep Guardiola himself is a big fan of the forward, the two were together during their time at Barcelona when the Catalan manager signed Alexis from Udinese in 2012. The Man City boss recently admitted that the club wanted to sign the Chilean but couldn’t compete with United’s financial power. ‘We wanted Alexis Sanchez, we couldn't afford it’ said the 49-year-old.

The Chilean looks to have found his form back under Antonio Conte as in his six games he has been involved in eight goals, scoring twice and assisting six times. The Chilean will complete his loan spell in Itlay this season and after that is expected to return to Manchester but will it be ‘Blue or Red’, it remains to be seen.
