Croatia’s Mario Mandzukic scored an own goal which gave the lead to the opponent. Antonie Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe were the ones to score a goal for France. On the other, the hand, Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic scored for Croatia, but that just didn’t seem enough their team. Just after the finals of the World Cup, England’s Harry Kane, Croatia’s Luka Modric, France’s Kylian Mbappe, Thibaut Courtois and team Spain walked away with accolades.
England might not have qualified for the finals, but Harry Kane led the list of leading goals scorers in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Kane scored six goals in the tournament and was on the top of the game in the group stage. Scoring five goals against Panama and Tunisia, Kane made one against Colombia.
Luka Modric’s team Croatia was labelled as the underdog.
