Last night, France crushed Belgium by 1-0 at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This obviously means that Belgium’s dream for the mega event ended. It was Samuel Umtiti’s goal at the 51st minute gave them the lead. Belgium just could not break the amazing defence by France and as a result, lost the match at St. Petersburg.

Shortly after the win, Paul Pogba hailed the players for the amazing show put up by them. He posted a tweet and wrote, “That's fine, but it's not over it's 🎉👊🏾🇫🇷 great @fiersdetrebleus #equipedefrance #WorldCup2018 But it's not finished.”

Shortly after this tweet, Pogba posted another tweet and dedicated the victory to the Thai football players who were rescued after the 19- y long ordeal. Pogba posted the picture of the boys who were from the age group of 11-17 and wrote, “This victory goes to the heroes of the day, well done boys, you are so strong 🙏🏾 #thaicaverescue #chiangrai.”

Even Manchester United invited the boys to watch the Red Devils in action. Their tweet read, “#MUFC is relieved to learn that the 12 footballers and their coach trapped in a cave in Thailand are now safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected. We would love to welcome the team from Wild Boars Football Club and their rescuers to Old Trafford this coming season.”

While the operations were going on, FIFA president Gianni Infantino has sent a letter to the president of the Football Association of Thailand offering prayers and support to the families. "If, as we all hope, they are reunited with their families in the coming days and their health allows them to travel, FIFA would be delighted to invite them to attend the 2018 World Cup final as our guests," Infantino wrote.
