2018 FIFA World Cup Diaries Video: Team Brazil Celebrates Philippe Coutinho’s Birthday by Pelting Eggs

Team Brazil is already in Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and is practising ahead of the mega event. Team’s mid-fielder Philippe Coutinho turned 26 yesterday and his teammates decided to play a prank to mark this occasion. Neymar Jr was the conductor of the mischievous act where Gabriel Jesus and Marcelo were hand in glove with the forward.

While Coutinho was chilling doing nothing after his practice, the players attacked the birthday boy by pelting eggs and flour at the Barcelona star. Coutinho was taken aback by this but took it very lightly. The video of the prank was shared by the fans on social media. Check out the video below.

Brazil is placed in Group E along with Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia. Team Brazil will play their first match against Switzerland on June 17 at Rostov Arena Rostov-On-Don. Neymar’s foot injury had scared the team. “I'm not 100 per cent ready yet," the PSG striker said. “But time will remedy that. I'm taking it easy. We are still a few days away from the first (World Cup) match and I'll be more certain by then," had said Neymar.

Neymar has also been in the news for his transfer to Real Madrid. Lionel Messi, Neymar’s former Barcelona teammate said it would be a terrible move. “It would be terrible because of everything that Ney means to Barcelona. Although [Neymar's time in Barcelona] ended the way it did, he won important titles here, he won the Champions League, he won La Liga. If he ends up in Madrid it would be a tough blow for us and for all of Barcelona. And on a football level, it would make Madrid much stronger than they already are,” said Messi.
