Spain vs Portugal can be easily labelled as one of the most exciting games ever. A few days ago, the fans witnessed Ronaldo’s team clashing against Sergio Ramos’ Spain. The match ended with a thrilling draw of 3-3 and it was Ronaldo who walked away with the limelight as he celebrated his 51st hat-trick. It was in the 86th minute that the Real Madrid striker scored over a free-kick after being brought down by Nacho Fernandez.
However, Nacho felt that Ronaldo was brought down very easily. The Spanish team had a hearty laugh over the incident during the training session. It was Nacho and Ramos who recreated the incident and the latter appealed in the same way as Ronaldo. One of the fans recorded the video of the same. Check it out below.
Ronaldo’s dive didn’t go down well with Spanish Gerard Pique as well. He said, “Cristiano is very prone to diving and they award him almost every foul,” Pique told reporters after the extraordinary spectacle in Sochi between the two heavyweights which set the World Cup alight. We picked ourselves up again after a lot of problems because starting a World Cup by conceding a penalty in the second minute and going behind is difficult but we scored three goals and we have to be happy with how the game went.” David De Gea admitted to the error after the match, telling reporters in the mixed zone, "I am fine, I am calm. We played a good game. I am happy with the way the team reacted, we deserved more but football is like that, this can happen to you.” Spain will next play against Iran whereas, Portugal will next lock horns with Morocco.
