Captain of Spain and Real Madrid Sergio Ramos has been in the news for all the wrong reasons of late especially after he was blamed for Mohamed Salah’s injury. He was slammed on by the netizens and the fans of Mo Salah ran a petition to get Ramos punished. The abuses were not limited to social media but went beyond. Ramos was forced to change his phone number as he was subjected to abuses by Mo Salah’s fans. But for Ramos it’s a thing of passé. Team La Roja has reached Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and his hotel room was customized for the mega event ahead.

The hotel authorities placed pictures of the captain during different tournaments and decorate the room. Ramos shared the video of his room on social media. The clip was captioned, “Mine, always with me. My house for # Russia2018. 🎶 @ alejandrosanz.”

Ramos even posted a picture where he said that the team is preparing for the World Cup. The snap was captioned, “We're still preparing for the World Cup and these two and I were just saying there are only 2 days left to send your video for the #OtraEstrella 🌟 competition. How? 1. Come up with an original idea... 2. Record your video for the song "Otra estrella en tu corazón" 3. Upload your video to Instagram including the hashtag #OtraEstrella. Come on, you can win my official shirt. 👕🇪🇸 #Russia2018."

A few other fans back in Spain, have put up paintings and graffiti to support the team. Spain is placed in Group B along with Portugal, Morocco and Iran. The team will play their first match against Portugal on June 15, 2018.
