Krasnodar (Russia), June 12: Spain's right-back Dani Carvajal on Tuesday joined his national football squad's training session for the first time since the hamstring injury he sustained during Real Madrid's 3-1 UEFA Champions League final victory over Liverpool on May 26.
The 26-year-old completed the morning session with the rest of his teammates in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, where the team is based in preparations for the FIFA World Cup, beginning from Thursday, reports Efe.
Defender Gerard Pique has also trained smoothly after he had a left knee injury scare on Monday, which forced him to miss the training that took place later that day.
Goalkeeper David de Gea, defenders Sergio Ramos and Cesar Azpilicueta, midfielders Andres Iniesta and Koke, winger Lucas Vazquez and striker Rodrigo took part in the session led by coach Julen Lopetegui. Spain is in Group B alongside Portugal, Morocco, and Iran at the tournament set to kick off on June 14 in Russia.
