While Patna Pirates happens to be the most successful team in the history of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Dabang Delhi comes as the least 'successful'. In fact, in previous five seasons of PKL, Dabang Delhi have failed to go past the first round. The Delhi-based franchise often find themselves languishing at the bottom of the points table. Overall, Dabang Delhi’s win percentage is the least in the history of the tournament. They have emerged victorious in just 14 out of 56 matches, which is a win percentage of just 25%. With an aim to start afresh, Dabang Delhi will be hoping to turn the tide this time around. Ahead of the PKL 2018 auction, Delhi retained their captain Meraj Sheykh.
At the auction, they managed to bring on board players like Pawan Kumar Kadian, Chandran Ranjith, Shabeer Bapu and Khomsan Thongkham. The latter happens to be the lone overseas player in Delhi squad.
