Pistol shooter Heena Sidhu was the highlight of the day six at the Commonwealth Games 2018 (CWG 2018) as far as India is concerned. Sidhu bagged the gold medal in the women's 25m pistol event while para-powerlifter Sachin Chaudhary claimed a bronze in the men's heavyweight final with an effort of 181kg. It was a slow day for India and only two medals came its way. However, India continues to occupy third place on the CWG 2018 medals tally. India now has 11 gold, four silver, and six bronze medals. Meanwhile, Australia and England continue to lead the CWG 2018 medals tally.

On day six, Gagan Narang and Chain Singh were expected to bag at least a medal between them but both of the failed to live up to the expectation in the 50m rifle prone event. However, India will be hoping for more medals from shooters as Jitu Rai competes in the 50m pistol event. He has already collected a gold medal in the 10m event.  CWG 2018 India Squad: Full List of Indian Athletes
