Chennai Super Kings’ Suresh Raina has become the highest run-getter once again after his innings of 22 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Previously, Virat Kohli held this record who has scored 4,948 runs from 163 matches. Now, Raina has overtaken the Indian cricket captain and now has 4,953 runs from 175 matches.

Talking about the match yesterday, Chennai Super Kings restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad on the score of 139 runs. Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket each. Whereas Dwayne Bravo snapped a couple of them. From CSK’ side, the team lost Shane Watson, MS Dhoni, DJ Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja in single digits. It was Faf De Plessis who turned the game for CSK, who at one point in time has actually lost the game. He also walked away with the Man of the Match Award.

"Thank you," says Faf. "It's nice to contribute since I haven't played much. Yesterday, I was just reflecting on my past games and took some confidence from that mentally. I just entered the changing room now, and asked the boys 'how did we win this, guys?'. Sometimes the game seems out of reach, but you keep sticking in. But Shardul came in and hit some boundaries, and everything went our way. Rashid was a real handful, so just happy to cross the line. Rashid was tough to pick, so hard to take him on. So try to get through him as much as you can." With this team, Chennai Super Kings won the game by 2 wickets and 5 balls remaining.
