Indian international spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, an IPL icon and a part of the 2024 T20 World Cup winning Indian side, celebrates his 34th birthday today. The Haryana based player, who once represented India in the World Youth Chess Championship, is known to outfox batters with his skills. Yuzvendra Chahal made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe back in 2016 and he made his T20 debut in the same series. He is primarily a white ball bowler, although he last played for India against New Zealand back in January 2023. He has also been part of the 2018 Asia Cup win for the nation. Yuzvendra Chahal has 121 wickets in 72 games for India while he has managed 96 wickets in 80 T20 internationals. He also became the first concussion substitute to win the man-of the-match award in a T20 game, when he replaced Ravindra Jadeja against Australia.
Rajasthan Royals are the current team for Yuzvendra Chahal in the IPL and recently he became the first player to pick up 200 wickets in the league, a remarkable feat. He was also a regular for Royal Challengers Bengaluru while also having a stint with the Mumbai Indians. In September 2023, he signed for Kent County Cricket Club to feature in the Championship.
