The Toronto Nationals skipper was eventually dismissed in the tenth over off Ben Cutting with score reading 85 for three. Toronto Nationals eventually chased down the target in just 17.5 overs with two wickets in hand. This was first win of the season for the Yuvraj-led team.

Apart from Yuvraj, Heinrich Klaasen scored valuable 45 off 39 balls. However, it was former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowler Manpreet Gony who turned the game in favour of Toronto Nationals with his power-hitting. Gony smashed 33 off just 12 balls to take his side close to the target. Mark Montfort and Salman Nazar then added unbeaten 27 runs for the ninth wicket to help Nationals win the match.
