Yuvraj Singh Picked by Mumbai Indians Team in IPL Player Auction 2019; Sourav Ganguly Sends Good Wishes

Yuvraj Singh had remained unsold in the first round of IPL 2019 auctions.  But then was later picked up by the Mumbai Indians. Yuvi even went on to wear the MI jersey and this sent the fans into a frenzy. The left-hander who was sold for Rs 1 crore, was warmly welcomed by Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma. Sourav Ganguly’s post read, “Extremely happy to see Yuvraj singh picked by mumbai ...has been a great player for the country in shorter format ..good wishes to him @YUVSTRONG12.” Even the netizens could not keep calm as Yuvi got selected for the MI. After the auctions, owner of Mumbai Indians Akash Ambani said that he was really happy with the pick. “I did enter the IPL auction wanting Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) in my team, so it wouldn’t be correct to say we bought him purely as an afterthought, “he said to a newspaper.

The team also bought Lasith Maling for Rs 2 crore and they franchisee wanted to sign him since quite a long time. “He has won an IPL before so we are looking for that experience to be added to our squad,” he further said.
