It is also expected that the third edition of the WPL might take place during February-March 2025. Five franchises - Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Giants fight with each other for the elusive title. All five WPL franchises are allowed to fill up to 18 players, with the option to include six overseas players and one from an associate nation. The WPL also allows teams to release players at the end of each season.
