New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was handed a life by Bangladesh wicketkeeper during the latter’s chase of 245 runs. During the 12th over of New Zealand innings, Ross Taylor hit the ball towards mid-on and was eyeing a quick single. Williamson responded late to the call and found himself in danger at the striker’s end. When the throw from mid-on came in, Williamson was nowhere near the crease. Bangladesh vs New Zealand Cricket Score 9th ODI Match.
Fortunately for the Kiwi skipper, Mushfiqur while trying to collect ball dislodged the bails. The Bangladesh wicketkeeper still had time to uproot the stumps but he failed to and Williamson was safely in. TV replays then confirmed that the ball was actually on its way directly towards the stumps and had Mushfiqur stood behind the wickets, Williamson would have been out by a long way.
After Mushfiqur missed the chance, Williamson and Taylor steadied New Zealand innings with a good partnership. Mushfiqur’s big miss apparently caught everyone’s attention and it became a talking point on Twitter. There were some harsh reactions to Mushfiqur’s miss. Happens!
How can a player, who have played 300+ international matches and even led his national team once upon a time, be such a mindless duffer.#MushfiqurRahim

Both New Zealand and Bangladesh won their opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and now are looking for their second win. At the time of writing this story, the partnership between Williamson and Taylor was well past the 50-run mark and Kiwis looked on course for a victory.
