Taunton, July 21: Australia have retained Women's Ashes after the final day of the test ended in a draw. The final test match of the series was played at England’s Taunton. With this draw, both Australia and England shared two points each. Both the teams are still to play three T20’s. Australia were happy to settle for a draw rather than going for a victory in the final session of the day. Elysse Perry felt short of 24 runs of becoming the first woman to hit two centuries in a Test match. She managed to score 76 runs.

England avoided the follow-on in the morning session, but Australia managed to secure 145-run lead. Perry played a cautious innings. Luck also favoured her when she not to given out lbw on Sophie Ecclestone's delivery. In the first innings, Australia scored 420 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply, England declared the innings after scoring 275 runs for the loss of nine wickets. In the second innings, Australia lost two quick wickets but Perry steadied the ship.
