New Delhi, July 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated Indian Cricket team’s fighting spirit in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup., even as he termed India’s loss in the match as a “disappointing result”. The Prime Minister said that India batted, bowled and fielded well throughout the tournament and the entire nation was proud of them. Earlier in the day, New Zealand beat India by 18 runs to reach the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Batting first, the Black Caps set a target of 240 runs. . At one stage India were tottering at 92 for six, with their top three back in the pavilion after scoring one run each. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja exhibited a spirited fight. In the end, Dhoni’s run out dashed hopes of qualifying for the finals.
