Ponting had coached Mumbai Indians in 2015 (when they won the title) & 2016. However, due to conflict of interest, he resigned from MI. After Rahul Dravid stepped down, the Australian former captain started donning the hat of a coach. Talking about team Delhi Daredevils, have qualified for the semi-finals only for a couple of years i.e. 2008, 2009. In 2012, the team had qualified for the playoffs. For the remaining years, DD has been eliminated from the group stage itself. The team as of now has a strong batting lineup with cricketers like Shreyas Iyer, Gautam Gambhir, Jason Roy, Prithvi Shaw and a few others.
