Virat Kohli and men yesterday won the game against Australia with four balls to spare. The lion’s share of credit goes to Kohli’s century and MS Dhoni’s unbeaten knock of 55 runs. It was the umpteenth number of time that MS Dhoni played the role of a finisher and took the game to the finishing line. Dhoni who was backlashed for his poor form looked in rhythm and oozed confidence in every shot played by him. The former captain played the role of a finisher in the last ball thriller and was batting with Dinesh Karthik. India needed seven runs to win from the last over and Dhoni displayed a vintage version of himself hitting the ball out of the park. MS Dhoni Takes a Short-Run During India vs Australia 2nd ODI, Goes Unnoticed by the Third Umpires (Watch Video).

Karthik who was at the non-striker’s end and walked upto Dhoni after hitting the six. Apparently, it looked like Dhoni did not know that he reached the 50-run mark and it looked like Karthik informed him about his half-century. It was only after Karthik reminding him of the half-century, Dhoni raised his bat acknowledging his half-century. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
