India managed a win in the first match at Adelaide, and lost the second game at Perth. However, a comeback victory at Melbourne, and a stalemate at Sydney saw Virat Kohli and company lift the trophy for the first time since the team started touring in 1947-48. Cheteshawar Pujara was adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’ in Sydney and ‘Player of the Series’ for amassing 521 runs in the 4-match series.
