Virender Sehwag & Gautam Gambhir Hail Kulbhushan Jadhav Verdict (Read Tweets)

For a few days now, July 17, 2019, became the most awaited day for the Indians as the International Court of Justice announced their verdict on Kulbhushan Jadhav who was arrested by Pakistan in Iran under the pretext of being an Indian spy. He has been in jail since March 2016.

For a few days now, July 17, 2019, became the most awaited day for the Indians as the International Court of Justice announced their verdict on Kulbhushan Jadhav who was arrested by Pakistan in Iran under the pretext of being an Indian spy. He has been in jail since March 2016. Now, the International Court of Justice issued the verdict in India’s favour and needless to say it’s a big victory for the nation. On this occasion, Virender Sehwag and cricketer-turned-politician were quite happy with the same and posted tweets on social media.  ICJ Orders Pakistan To Give India Consular Access to Kulbhushan Jadhav, Stays Death Sentence Given To The Indian National, Calls For Review Of His Conviction.

While Virender Sehwag said that truth always wins, Gambhir thanked the ICJ for decision. According to Gambhir, this is a positive step of bringing Jadhav home. The ICJ has suspended Jadhav’s death sentence and has Pakistan to reconsider his conviction. This obviously sent a wave of joy amongst the Indians and many politicians including Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley expressed their happiness on social media. Sushma Swaraj Welcomes ICJ Verdict, Says 'It's A Great Victory For India'.

The ICJ vote of 15-1 upheld India’s claim that Pakistan had violated the Vienna Convention quite a lot of times on Consular Relations. With this, India has further urged Pakistan to provide consular access for Jadhav. The ICJ is quite satisfied with the shreds of evidence of the claims that Kulbhushan is an Indian.
