Virender Sehwag Appointed as the Icon for T10 League, Season 2 at UAE

The Sultan of Multan Virender Sehwag might have not been active on-field playing cricket for a while now, but there’s a lot on his plate

The Sultan of Multan Virender Sehwag might have not been active on-field playing cricket for a while now, but there’s a lot on his plate. Apart from his stint with commentary, Sehwag is also the mentor of the IPL cricket team Kings XI Punjab. Now, he has been appointed as the icon for T10 league which features 8 teams. Each match is played for 10 overs and features 100 international players and is played in UAE.

Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to share the happy news with his fans. “It gives me immense pleasure to be the league icon of the most innovative format in world cricket, @t10leaguetweets led by its visionary @chairmanmulk,” he tweeted.

The tournament features teams like Pakhtoon, Karachians, Rajputs, Kerala Kings, Maratha Arabians, Northern Warriors, Bengal Tigers and Punjabi Legends. The matches will begin from November 23- December 2, 2018. The Kerala Kings recently signed Daniel Vettori as their head coach for the upcoming season.

The first edition of the tournament was played in 2017 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The league is not only approved the Emirates Cricket board but also, in August 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) officially sanctioned the league.
