It’s just been a couple of days that Virat Kohli’s wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds in Delhi. But within a day itself, it had to be taken back because a part of the statue had been chipped. The officials suspect that the right ear of the statue was damaged as the fans took selfies.

As per reported by NDTV, an official confirmed the news and said, “Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified. Kohli's statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain's statue.”

Virat Kohli was quite elated with the wax statue being erected at the Madame Tussauds. Over 200 artists worked on the same to get the perfect sculpture of the Indian cricket captain. Donning the blue jersey, the wax figure strikes a pose and looks ready to bat. Virat too had shared a video stating how excited he was about his wax figure being unveiled.

"I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support. This experience is going to be stored in the fond memories of my life...now waiting to see the fan reactions," had said Virat in a statement, Lionel Mess, Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev are the other sporting icons in the museum.
