Virat Kohli is a man who surely knows how to win hearts. Not just on-field by his batting but also off the field where his little gestures impress the people around him and which is why the Indian cricket captain has a large fan following. Now, on the day 1 of India vs Australia 2019, Virat walked out to bat with pink gloves and pads. This gesture impressed Glenn McGrath. The former cricketer had lost his wife to breast cancer and which is why every year, Australia's New Year Test is the Pink Test with the third day of the match named Jane McGrath day in honour of Glenn McGrath's late wife.

Virat’s gesture did not go unnoticed and garnered heaps of praises for his efforts of raising awareness. “Virat Kohli @imVkohli showing his passionate support for the McGrath Foundation with his pink bat and gloves 🙏 What. A. Legend!#pinktest #IndianCricketTeam #AUSvsIND #itsyourpinktest,” read a tweet from Glenn McGrath Foundation. Virat Kohli’s Bat and Gloves Turn Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness During Ind vs Aus 4th Test at SCG.

While speaking about the gesture to the broadcaster, the former Australian cricketer said, “One night Virat Kohli came up to me and he said that he had something special for Sydney. I have got my pink ready, it is all pinked up for Sydney," McGrath said. "And then when he walked out to bat and to see the pink on his glove and his pads and his pink bat with the grip, logo all in pink... It was a very special moment," McGrath added.
