Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are arguably the best batsman and bowler going around and have played a crucial role in making Indian cricket team a force in international cricket. With the two being on the same side, fans, often, don’t get to witness the tussle between the two cricketers but the Indian skipper has revealed their battle during the net sessions. On the eve of India vs Australia 1st ODI in Mumbai, Kohli addressed the media and told that he hit Bumrah for few boundaries before falling prey to him in the last ball of their recent practice session. "Well, Bumrah is playing with the team since last four years now, and this is probably the second time I have ever got out in the net, hitting a few against him and not getting out. I'm glad that was the last ball of my net session because he ran back to his mark, but I got out. It's fun sort of competition, he's according to me the most skilful bowler and to play against him, he brings match intensity at the nets," the Indian skipper said during the press conference. Bumrah, who made his international debut in January 2016, has emerged as one of the lethal bowlers going around and has rattled the stumps of many prominent batsmen. Be it Tests, ODIs or T20Is, the right-arm pacer has proved his mettle in all the formats and continues to get better with time. On many occasions, his vicious bouncers have smashed the helmets of many batsmen and Kohli revealed that the 26-year old doesn’t hold back in the net sessions too.
"I can assure you that, he's not shy on hitting us in the head or targeting our ribs every now and then," Kohli added. Well, the good form of the cricketers are great signs for the Men in Blue and the two will eye to put on a colossal performance in the forthcoming series too. On the other hand, Australia, who will be facing the joint forces of Kohli and Bumrah, will have to perform at their prime in order to defeat India at their fortress.
