Babar Azam has been one of the most consistent players for Pakistan. That’s what his scores in the last three Test matches suggest. Babar Azam has scored 92, 62 and 13 in the last three matches of the five-day long format. On Sunday, Azam scored 127 runs against New Zealand in the second Test and with this, it was his fifth fifty-plus score in 10 innings. With 127 runs, Pakistan amassed 418 runs against the Kiwis in Dubai. With the knock, he overhauled the record of Virat Kohli. Lacing 12 fours and a couple of sixes in Dubai, Babar Azam’s average touched 67.71 in 2018. Azam scored 474 in 10 innings. On the other hand, Indian captain Virat Kohli’s average is 59.05 which was touched after he scored 1063 runs in 18 innings. Babar Azam addressed the media after his century. “There was no pressure [of scoring a Test hundred]. I'd be lying if I say that not scoring a Test century was a burden on me. The difference is that I did the job today. My previous best scores will be counted as half-centuries. I had heard that scoring a Test century is special and that's exactly what I experienced today. I was out on 99 against Australia. It's definitely a relief to get over the line. I have gained a lot of confidence in the wake of scoring this hundred."
