With this century, Virat Kohli now has 59 international centuries, and is only behind India's Sachin Tendulkar, Australia's Ricky Ponting, Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara and South Africa's Jacques Kallis. All of the top four players with highest number of centuries named above have retired and Virat has the highest number of centuries to his name among active players. The 'run machine' now has 17 centuries as captain of the Test team. He is also the second fastest after the legendary Don Bradman to get to 24 Test centuries. Virat, who came out to bat on Thursday, after the fall of Cheteshwar Pujara's wicket, formed solid partnerships with debutant Prithvi Shaw, and Ajinkya Rahane to take India to a strong position as India ended the first day at 364/4. Coming out to bat on Friday, Day 2 of the Test Match, Virat Kohli is being accompanied by Rishabh Pant, who scored a quickfire half century by hitting a six.
