Virat Kohli Purchases 2,000 Sq Ft Luxury Villa in Alibaug for 6 Crore: Report

The star Indian cricketer, currently busy on national duty in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, purchased the luxury project with the formalities completed by his brother Vikas Kohli. This is also Kohli's second property in Alibaug after having purchased one in 2022.

Virat Kohli has reportedly brought a 2,000 sq ft villa in Alibaug for Rs 6 crore. Virat's elder brother Vikas Kohli has done all formalities of buying the bungalow in Avas Living, a luxury project in Awas Village, according to a Hindustan Times report, with the star Indian cricketer currently busy on national duty in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The report also adds that the interiors of the project have been designed by Suzanne Khan, the ex-wife of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. The property purchased by Kohli contains a 400 sq ft swimming pool as well and the Indian cricketer reportedly paid a whopping amount of Rs 36 lakh as stamp duty. Mahesh Mhatre, a legal consultant working for Avas Living Alibaug LLP, as quoted by Hindustan Times, said, “Awas is a preferred location due to its natural beauty. Besides, the Mandwa jetty is five minutes away from Awas and the speed boats have now reduced the distance to Mumbai to 15 minutes.” This is not the first time Kohli has bought a property in Alibaug. Last year in September, the former Indian captain and his wife and actor Anushka Sharma has splurged Rs 19.24 crore to buy a 36, 059 sq ft farmhouse in Zirad village. Indian captain Rohit Sharma had also reportedly purchased four acres of land in Mhatroli village in Alibaug in 2021. India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Kohli looked good for his 44 in the first innings of the Delhi Test and he will aim to notch up a big score under his belt in the two remaining Test matches, which are scheduled to be played in Indore and Ahmedabad.
