Virat Kohli, on Tuesday, became the first player in the history of cricket to bag all the three awards – ICC Cricketer of the Year, the ICC Test Player of the Year, and the ICC ODI Player of the Year – in the same calendar year, i.e. 2018. Reflecting on his outstanding run in the previous year, Kohli said that he felt happy about how the year went by!

When asked about choosing his top moments in the year 2018, the Indian team captain picked the victories against Australia in Adelaide (first Test) and Melbourne (third Test) in the recently concluded series. Virat Kohli Becomes First Cricketer to Win Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, ICC Test and ODI Player of the Year Awards in Same Year.

Kohli said, “My personal favourite moment of 2018 would probably be the win in Adelaide against Australia. That was quite special to start the series in that manner…It was something very, very special. The MCH Test as well, the Boxing Day Test was huge. So I think these two moments would be my personal best, from a team point of view and yeah those are the only memories that actually matter when the team does well and you are part of that whole environment; these two moments standout for me.”
