Rains, as it seems, is going to be a co-passenger of team India as they travel around Australia to compete with the hosts. Rains made its presence felt in the first T20I in Adelaide and then washed out the second T20I in Melbourne. Thankfully, it stayed away during the course of third and final T20I in Sydney. The rains washed out entire opening day of the four-day warm-up match and not even toss was possible. Well, despite the rains, Virat Kohli and Co chose not to rest and headed straight towards the gym. The Indian skipper posted a picture on his official Twitter account and wrote, “The rain doesn't seem to be going away so we decided to make something of our day. Gotta love a good workout with the boys. #makeeverydaycount.”

Kohli was accompanied by opening batsman Murali Vijay and fast-bowler Ishant Sharma. Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers around and has made it a top priority among his teammates to be fit. Prithvi Shaw and KL Rahul are the other two openers present in the Indian squad. While Shaw is certain of his place, either Vijay or Rahul will be his partner. The first Test of the four-match series will begin on December 06 at the Adelaide Oval. The second and third Test will take place on December 14 and 26 respectively. The fourth and final Test will be held early next year in January.
