Debutant Navdeep Saini was the star in the opening game taking 3/17 in four overs, including a 20th over maiden, to help the visitors bundle Windies for 95 runs. India made a mess of the run-chase but somehow scraped through thanks to some vital contributions from the lower order.

Kohli later informed that the team will look to test their bench-strength in the final T20 game in the Caribbean Island. Winning is always going to be a priority. But sealing the series gives the chance to bring few guys in. The idea is always going to be to win first. But winning the first two games gives the cushion," said Kohli in the post-match presentation.
