Virat Kohli surprised children at a shelter home in Kolkata as the Indian captain paid the kids a visit, dressed up as Santa Claus. The 31-year-old was watching a video of the children as they talk about their favourite superheroes and sportspersons. Some kids expressed their desire to meet their idols such as Sachin Tendulkar, PV Sindhu, Cristiano Ronaldo, MS Dhoni while others talked about the gifts they would like to receive from the Santa Claus ranging from a football to a helicopter, a badminton racquet to a doll set. Star Sports released a video five days before Christmas where Virat Kohli decided to be a secret Santa and pay a visit to the children’s shelter home in Kolkata. The Indian captain, dressed as Santa distributed gifts among the young children but the biggest surprise was yet to come. After the kids received their gifts they were asked if they would like to meet Virat Kohli and upon receiving a resounding yes, the 31-year-old slowly removed his cap and the fake beard to present the real him which left the kids startled. After seeing Virat Kohli the kids rushed towards him with joy and hugged the right-handed batsmen as tightly as they could. The Indian captain at the end of the video sent a message to all the fans saying these moments are very special for him as all of these kids cheer for the team throughout the year and he had a great time meeting them.
