Now, the Indian captain could get reach yet another milestone during the first Test between India and Australia 2018. Virat Kohli has so far scored 992 runs from eight Test matches and has played 16 innings on the Australian soil. The Indian cricket captain has a striking average of 62.00 runs and his highest score remains 169 runs which were scored in Melbourne in December 2014. He also has a couple of fifties under his name. As of now, Kohli is just eight runs away from reaching 1000 runs mark on the Australian soil. Virat Kohli’s fans are quite sure that the Indian cricket captain would reach the milestone during the first Test match itself which starts from tomorrow in Adelaide. With this milestone, he would join the elite league of players like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid who have scored more than 1000 runs on the Australian soil. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 1809 runs in Australia in Tests. VVS Laxman has scored 1236 runs and India’s Wall Rahul Dravid has scored 1143 runs against the Aussies in their own backyard. Virat Kohli would be the fourth batsman to achieve this feat.
The Indians ahead of the first Test match declared the 12-member squad which also included Rohit Sharma and Hanuma Vihari.
