Indian team is set to take on Australia in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. The first ODI of the series will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on January 14. Ahead of the series opener in Mumbai, Indian captain Virat Kohli sounded confident and believed his team can compete against any team in the world regardless of the format. “We have the skill set as a team now to compete against anyone in the world anywhere, in any format of the game whether it is white ball, red ball, pink ball,” Kohli was quoted as saying by news gathering agency ANI.

Meanwhile, India have dominated at home and will be looking to end this home season on a high. Having restored wins over South Africa, Bangladesh, West Indies and more recently Sri Lanka, the Kohli and Co. will be looking to emulate their performances.

Following the three matches against Australia, the Indian team will travel to New Zealand for five T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests. The tour kicks-off on January 24 and will end in the first week of March.
