Virat Kohli has completed 11 years in his international cricket career. The Indian skipper made his debut on August 18, 2008 with an ODI against Sri Lanka at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Posting an old black and white picture of himself, Kohli thanked god for the blessings showered on him to achieve his dreams. “From starting as a teenager on the same day in 2008 to reflecting on the journey 11 years after on this present day in 2019, I couldn't have dreamt of the blessings God has showered me with. May you all get the strength and power to follow your dreams and always follow the right path. #forevergrateful”, the 30-year-old wrote along with the post. Have a look. In his 11 years of career, Kohli has garnered a lot of success with his brilliant batting. He has played 77 Tests so far scoring 6613 runs. He has featured in 239 ODIs scoring 11,520 runs at the average of more than 60. His brilliance has also given him a chance to lead the Indian team in all the three formats. He has also hit a total of 68 International centuries (Tests- 25 and ODIs- 43) and is only behind Sachin Tendulkar (101) and Ricky Ponting (71) in the total number of international centuries. Kohli is also the current number one Test and ODI batsman in ICC rankings.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is set to play West Indies in two Tests starting from August 22, 2019. India has already defeated T20 and ODI series 3-0 and 2-0 respectively. Currently, a practice match between both the sides is also underway in which India lead by 200 runs at the stumps of Day 2.
