Virat Kohli Celebrates the Win Over West Indies With Fans, Says, ‘Manchester Was Blue Today’

Virat Kohli and men yesterday registered a comprehensive 125 run victory over West Indies, at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. With this, the team booked a berth for the semi-finals of the CWC 2019. Needless to say that the team was extremely happy with the win and the fans were on cloud nine. Kohli took a video with fans who were seen cheering him. The Indian cricket captain was all smiles while doing so and posted the same on social media. He even came up with an interesting caption which read, “Don't know about football, but Manchester was blue today! 🇮🇳💙 Comprehensive team victory. ✌🏼 #CWC19.” The caption hinted of the dominance of the Manchester City over Manchester United in the Premier League recently. Manchester United represents the colour red, whereas blue is the official colour of Manchester City. IND beat WI by 125 runs.

Talking about the game, after winning the toss, India decided to bat first. After losing wickets at regular intervals, Virat Kohli chipped in with 72 runs. MS Dhoni was under the scrutiny for his slow batting also made 56 runs from 61 balls and the Men in Blue posted a total of 268 runs on the board. Whereas, West Indies got bundled out on the score of 143 runs.
