The day 2 of the ongoing test match between India vs West Indies also proved to be a day of records for the hosts. Today it was skipper Virat Kohli’s turn to shatter records. With a blistering century from 184 balls, Virat Kohli not only got past the Australian great Sir Don Bradman, but also broke the record of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Kohli brought his 24th century and surpassed Virender Sehwag to be number four in the list of most centuries for India in the longest format of the game. Virat Kohli Becomes 1st Indian Batsman to Score 1000 Plus Runs for 3 Successive Years in Tests, Fastest to 24 Centuries Since Don Bradman!

The master blaster tops the list with 51 centuries, Rahul Dravid comes next scoring 36 100s. Veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar comes on number three with 34 centuries. Kohli still has a long way to go to surpass Tendulkar when it comes to a maximum number of centuries. The Indian cricket captain scored his 24 century in 123 innings whereas, Sachin Tendulkar took 125 innings to reach the feat and thus became the quickest Indian to get 24 100s in Test cricket.  This was Virat Kohli’s 30th century as a skipper in international cricket. Virat Kohli Scores Hundred in India vs West Indies 1st Test Match, 2018; Brings Up Century No 24.
