The 30-year-old achieved the feat in the 20th over of India's innings. Kohli, who came to bat in the third over after KL Rahul was dismissed for a nine-ball duck, reached the milestone in the final delivery of the over bowled by Ben Stokes. He guided a half-volley towards extra cover to complete his half-century and reach the landmark. His half-century came in 59 deliveries and had six fours. Kohli's last five innings at the 2019 Cricket World Cup reads, 82 (Australia), 77 (Pakistan), 67 (Afghanistan), 72 (West Indies) and another half-century against England here, making him the first to achieve the milestone in CWC 2019. Kohli, World no 1 ODI batsman, is also the first captain to achieve the feat. Smith had done it in Australia's successful World Cup campaign in 2015 but Michael Clarke was the Australian skipper then. But Smith still remains the first ever cricketer to have achieved the feat.
