In the 12th over of Bangladesh’s innings, Indian captain Virat Kohli was seen arguing with on-field umpires after a Decision Review System (DRS) for an LBW went against India. Soumya Sarkar was the batsman when a Mohammad Shami delivery appeared to have trapped him in front of the wickets. Indian players went up in unison but umpire felt that the ball was hitting the bat. Age Is Just A Number! India then opted for DRS and there was no clear evidence that the ball missed the bat. Eventually, Aleem Dar, the third umpire, felt the ball made a connection with the bat and agreed with the on-field decision. Thus India lost a review as well.

However, the Indian skipper was unhappy with the decision and was seen having an animated discussion with Marais Erasmus before walking away furiously from the scene. Later Hawk-Eye confirmed even if there was no inside edge, Soumya would have still been not out, as it would have been the umpire’s call. MS Dhoni Fans Troll Sanjay Manjrekar For His Biased Commentary Against Indian Wicket-Keeper During India vs Bangladesh CWC 2019 Match! Yes, again

Four overs later Soumya was then caught at short extra-cover by Kohli off Hardik Pandya. The Indian skipper then gave a send-off to the batsman and directed him to go towards the dressing runs. Soumya was dismissed on an individual score of 33 off 38 balls.

And then finally

Earlier, after opting to bat first, India set Bangladesh a target of 315 runs. Rohit Sharma scored his second consecutive century before being dismissed on 104 runs. It was Rohit’s fourth ton in this World Cup, joining former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara as the batsman with most centuries in a World Cup.
