Sheldon Cottrell’s trademark signature salute celebration grabbed headlines at the start of the CWC 2019. Yesterday, after India crushed West Indies by 125 runs, at The Old Trafford in Manchester, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami mocked at the West Indian pacer. The India cricket captain and Shami were seen imitating Cottrell’s salute and both had a hearty laugh after the act. The best part about the act was that it was all in good humour and even Cottrell could not stop himself from smiling at the imitation. Mohammed Shami snapped four wickets giving away only 16 runs and proved to be a nightmare for the opponents. The Indian team had posted a total of 268 runs on the board. In reply, Jason holder’s men got bundled out on the score of 143. Shami imitated Cottrell right after Yuzvendra Chahal got the wicket of Sheldon Cottrell. The video of the act went viral. Virat Kohli missed out on his century yet another time as he made 72 runs from 82 balls. But the Indian skipper became the quickest batsman to scored 20,000 international runs. He is the third India to achieve the feat after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. With this win, the Men in Blue have already qualified for the semi-finals of the CWC 2019 and will next face England on June 30, 2019.
