The Men in Blue are currently at Southampton for their first World Cup 2019 tie against South Africa. Now, ahead of their first game which is scheduled to happen on June 5, 2019, at the Rose Bowl cricket Stadium. The team has enough time to prepare for their first game and needless to say that Virat Kohli and men are looking forward to having a winning start to the tournament. Yesterday ahead of their first game, Virat Kohli and men were seen sweating it out in the nets and were seen participating in the fielding drills which was about direct throws. The players were seen aiming at the stumps from six different directions. The players were supposed to hit the stumps 20 times. The coach of the team Sridhar gave out the details of drills and the video of the same was posted by the official account of the BCCI. Fielding is quintessentially the most important part of the game and this drill will not only help the team stop a few runs but also will help them get wickets during crucial situations. This would further increase their chances in the tournament. The Indian team played their first practice game against New Zealand which Virat Kohli and men lost. The next practice game was played against Bangladesh which was won by the Men in Blue.
