Suryakumar Yadav Original Catch Video

In reality, nothing such happened. As it can be spotted in the original video, Suryakumar Yadav's feet didn't touch the boundary line. There was a clear gap between his feet and the ball as he threw the ball up in the air and then returned to take the catch. The boundary line was also not changed in the midst of the game as it was pushed back well before the game very much transparently.  Playing conditions were uniform for both the teams and South Africans never protested as they knew about it.

What Is the MCC Law About Removing the Boundary Cushion From the Original Line?

According to MCC Law 19.1 of Determining the boundary of the field of play, Before the toss, the umpires shall determine the boundary of the field of play, which shall be fixed for the duration of the match. Both captains will be consulted about the playing conditions fixed. According to law 19.2.1, Wherever practicable, the boundary shall be marked by means of a continuous white line or by an object in contact with the ground. According to law 19.3, If a solid object used to mark the boundary is disturbed for any reason, then the boundary shall be considered to be in its original position (19.3.1), the object shall be returned to its original position as soon as is practicable; if play is taking place, this shall be as soon as the ball is dead (19.3.2).

So, it is clear that if anyhow Suryakumar Yadav tried to move the boundary back, it would have been noticed by the match officials and restored to it's original position. The conditions of the match are also communicated to both captains beforehand. Despite it being an established and obvious fact, many social media handles have come up with fake and made-up claims. People unaware of the circumstances have got trapped by the clickbait title and misguiding edited videos and provided them with views.
