Fans on Wednesday witnessed an interesting chapter of the Sachin Tendulkar-Vinod Kambli friendship. In the past, there were reports of the rift between the two childhood friends, but during the presentation ceremony of T20 Mumbai League 2018, not even an iota of it was visible. The former cricketers met each other after the final of the league between Triumph Knights Mumbai North East and Shivaji Park Lions. Tendulkar, who is the ambassador of the league, was present during the post-match presentation while Kambli, on the other hand, coached finalists Shivaji Park Lions. His team, however, lost the final by three runs to Triumph Knights Mumbai North East.

During the ceremony, Kambli came up on stage to collect the runners-up medal and much to the amusement of fans, he touched Tendulkar’s feet. Tendulkar, however, tried to stop Kambli and then the duo hugged each other. Both Tendulkar and Kambli were seen laughing afterwards.

It was a great sight to see both of them hugging each other. The two were known to be close friends since their childhood days and represented the same school during their early playing days. Both went on to play the cricket together for state and the country. However, Kambli was not as successful as Tendulkar.

As their careers took contrasting paths, the difference between the two grew to such an extent that they were not even talking to each other. Kambli even claimed that it was Tendulkar who cut off the ties. Well, looks like all is well between the two now and we wish their friendship keeps blossoming.
