Javed Miandad certainly has the tendency to put the foot on his mouth and the former Pakistani batsman has again made a controversial statement which has irked a large number of people. The 62-year old termed India as an unsafe country and even asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) basically boycott India as a cricket playing nation. Miandad’s remarks certainly didn’t go down well with many Indians and they bashed the former batsman on social media. Former cricketer Vinod Kambli was also one of those Indians who were devastated the Miandad’s claim and he took on social media to bash the Pakistani. Kambli slammed the former Pakistani captain for his ‘habit of poking fingers’. “Our country is safe. We have provided the best security to every touring nation coming to India.U should focus on checking which other country wants to tour” wrote the 47-year old on the micro-blogging website. He even asked Pak Passion, the Pakistan-based news channel which telecasted Miandad’s statement on Television, to show his tweet to the controversial cricketer.

Along with demining India, Miandad also heaped praises his own country by saying that Sri Lankan team were quite happy to play a full-fledged series in Pakistani recently and the nation is a safer place now. Not just cricket, the 124- Test veteran wants also appealed to all the countries to not to tour India for any sports tournament.

Well, this was not the first time when Javed Miandad ignited the temper of Indians with his statements. A few months back, a video of him also went viral on social media in which he can be seen brandishing a sword, saying “Kashmiri brothers don't worry. We are with you. Earlier I used a bat to hit a six, now I can use this sword.” So, his latest claim is the new addition to the saga.
