He has been creating ripples for quite a while now but this time Delhi Daredevil’s Shahbaz Nadeem has created a world record by snapping 8 wickets by giving away only 10 runs at the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 for Jharkhand. Nadeem created a world record with his performance. The team played against Rajasthan in Chennai at the TI Cycles Ground, Murugappa, Chennai on Thursday while playing for the Elite division, Group C. He was about to get 10 wickets but his teammate Anukul Roy got a couple of them.
After winning the toss, Rajasthan elected to field first. Nadeem and Anukul Roy got Rajasthan’s inning wrapped up on the score of 73 runs. Jharkhand reached the total quite easily in 14.3 overs. The official accounts of ICC and the BCCI hailed Nadeem for their performance. Ajinkya Rahane leads Mumbai for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018.
“10-4-10-8 👏👏 The record for best figures in List A cricket was broken today by Shahbaz Nadeem!,” read ICC’s tweet.

The official handle of the BCCI read, “RECORD ALERT: 10-4-10-8. Jharkhand's @shahbaz1208 now holds the record for best figures registered in List A Cricket. He picked 8 wickets against Rajasthan. Rahul Sanghvi (8/15) held the previous record.”
Nadeem has been knocking the doors of the Indian team for a long time and said that he will keep performing in the similar fashion. “To play for India, just performing alone isn’t enough. You have to see whether the place you are fighting for is empty. There are many players who have taken dozens of wickets in domestic cricket but haven’t got a chance to play for the country. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen with me,” he told TOI.
